Information Collection and Use

The following privacy policy applies to the PicText app for iOS. By using this application, you agree to the Apple Standard EULA.

PicText collects minimal data necessary for functionality:

• Images: Sent securely to Google Cloud Vision API for text extraction. Images are processed in real-time and not stored on our servers.
• Text Data: Sent to Google Gemini API for translation and AI analysis. Not stored permanently.
• Subscription Data: Managed securely through RevenueCat for payment processing.
• Usage Credits: Stored locally in your device's secure Keychain. No account registration required.

Third-Party AI Processing

Important: When you use PicText's translation or AI analysis features, your text and/or images are sent to Google's AI services (Gemini API) for processing. By using these features, you consent to your data being processed by Google's AI systems. Google may process this data according to their Gemini API Terms of Service.

You can avoid sharing data with AI services by only using the basic OCR text extraction feature, which uses Google Cloud Vision API (non-AI service).

What We Don't Collect

PicText does not collect:

• Advertising identifiers or ad tracking data
• Analytics or crash reporting data
• Location information
• Personal accounts or registration data

Third Party Services

PicText uses the following third-party services that have their own Privacy Policies:

• Google Cloud Vision API – For OCR text extraction
• Google Gemini API – For AI-powered translation and text analysis
• RevenueCat – For subscription management

Data Retention

PicText does not store your images or text on our servers. All processing is done in real-time via API calls. Usage credits are stored locally on your device and can be deleted by uninstalling the app. Subscription data is retained by RevenueCat as necessary for billing purposes.

Opt-out Rights

You can halt all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling the Application. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the App Store.

Children

The Service Provider does not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13. The Application does not address anyone under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact the Service Provider at contact@goudri.com so that they will be able to take the necessary actions.

Security

The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. All data transmitted to third-party APIs is sent over secure HTTPS connections. Local data (credits) is stored in iOS Keychain for maximum security.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes to the Privacy Policy by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.
